what is SSL certificate for?

to avoid such warning when visit website by chrome,

 

purchase SSL certificate and bind to your WEB server domain name

1) you have your own domain name, usually  your company WEB site, e.g. ,  comexp.com 

2) purchase or apply for free SSL certificate that bonded with your domain name, usually this SSL certificate shall be provided by your domain provider.

 

install your SSL certificate to smarteye server-E

copy/upload your SSL certifiate file(.pem/.cer etc) to the path where smarteye server-E installed,

e.g., by default, it's  C:\Program Files\bvservere\nginx\secret  

rename it to   cert.key

visit  your smarteye server-E by domain name, e.g.,

https://smarteye.comexp.com:9781

note:  add a new resolution item to your domain management,  e.g.,  smarteye.comexp.com   to  36.125.79.233
